Thanks for the YouTube link, Neil - I had no idea that Andrew and Lewis were one of the same ! I guess I should have known that.
In answer to your question of 'what are we listening to?' - in my case, I'm mainly listening to our new baby screaming his head off but when I get the chance I'm playing the Editors album a lot. I love the strong vocals and the socially aware lyrics, also along the same lines, Reverend and the Makers have something to say. It's a bit 'pop' for my usual taste but to get social comment into the charts and on Radio One daytime can only be a good thing.
As I encountered the obvious baby-sitting problems on New Years Eve, we stayed home and watched 'Later' - all the usual suspects were trawled out and made a very bland programme until Stainless Steve (no relation!) was let loose with his three string guitar and the wooden box he kicks which he calls his 'Alabama beat box' - for me, he lit up the otherwise fairly dull, tried and tested line up of commercial celebs old and new.
Cheers,
Steve

Hi all
Hope all members of the group are keeping well.
Well, as you are all probably aware the band have announced a gig in
Norway, which is great news. The band are also concentrating their
efforts on a new album this year which we await with baited breath!
Sorry to see Dave Cox leave the band. He was an excellent guitarist
and also a nice bloke. He has been replaced by Andy 'Lewis' Taylor,
although not sure if this is only for the gig in Norway and/or for
the recording of the album. Lewis has had several spells with the
band. I first saw him in the late 80s and I think he was known as
Andrew Bristow then. He's also been known as 'Sheriff Jack'. Those
who have the superb Rockpalast DVD will also have seen him with the
band.
I have recently bought a couple of Lewis albums, 'Lewis Taylor'
and 'Lewis II', released I think in 1996 and 2000 respectively. It
appears our Lewis is something of a cult 'critically acclaimed'
figure in the music business. His albums are very good with great
production, steering towards a soul/funk sound, somewhat reminding me
of very early Hall&Oates, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, etc. Some people
have said he is similar to Jamirioqui to which I totally disagree.
Lewis has so much more talent.
Here's a link to one of Lewis's videos on youtube.

see what you think. Welcome back Lewis!
So what other music have others been listening to recently apart from
EBB?
Apart from Lewis I have also been listening to Kate Bush, I obviously
remember her from my childhood and liking some of her songs, but its
only now that I have started to appreciate her music. Bought 'Kick
Inside' her first LP and its excellent. She's a true original and
after watching some interviews and some early footage she worked
bloody hard for her success, rehearsal after rehearsal, gigging in
the pubs in South London, etc. Puts all that xfactor stuff to shame!
She also doesnt take herself too seriously and doesnt find the need
to self publicise herself. Respect is due.
Am I alone in thinking that there is change in the air. Somethings
gonna happen soon and Im not sure what it is!! Is that a lyric!!??
All the best
Neil
