Re: [edgarbroughtonband] Hello all and stuff...

I really enjoyed the vid on his blog, the music and the video worked really well together. Some people just have it... great stuff.

Looking forward to travelling to see the band soon. Been too long.

Trust everyone is well in EBB world...

Paul

Hi all

Hope everyone is keeping well. Welcome to all new members who have joined recently. I assume everyone must be on their holidays as its been quiet in here lately!

Has everyone seen Rob's latest video on his blog. I thought it was very good, really interesting to read how he produced it using equipment imaginatively rather than spending out on the latest gadgets!

I recently spotted these items on ebay, have considered bidding for them as they look excellent;

Flyer

Poster

I particularly like the poster. Has anyone seen Julien Temple's The Future is Unwritten - film on Joe Strummer? Well near the start of the film there is shot of an festival possibly Glastonbury 1971 and over the top of this footage appears to be a live recording of a crowd shouting 'Out Demons Out'. Unfortunately theres no footage of Rob and the boys.

Has anyone seen any live music this summer? I went to see Roger Waters at the o2 arena in May, it was an excellent performance, half the show was Waters solo/Floyd (including Set the Controls...) and the other half was the whole of Dark Side of the Moon. The only thing I dont understand about these sort of all seated 'concerts' is why do so called fans pay a good sum of cash to see the performer when all they do is get up and down from their seat during it??? If it wasnt toilet breaks, it was for more beer or more food. I dont get it! Some of em must have missed half the concert. Thats why I do prefer 'standing' gigs, at least u can walk away from cretins. Am off to The Hop Farm Festival in Kent this sunday, where Neil Young is headlining, supporting are Primal Scream, Supergrass, Guillemots, Rufus Wainwright, etc. There are about 8 bands in all and this festival is a non branded, no sponsorship event, which makes a change.

To the Chelsea fans among us, have you got over the agony of the CL final defeat? I think I have, although I tend not to think about JT's penalty miss! Oh well theres always the new season!

Cheers

Neil
