Hi all.
Here comes a short "review" from a FANTASTIC gig in Oslo !!
First of all, and I quote :
Evening
Liar
Side by side
Vibrations
Anthem
Six whites
Nighthogs
Refugee
Breath
Bloom
Revelations
Momma's
Soldiers
Hotel room
Love in the rain
Electioneer
Demons/Poppy

This was the full set list, and what a set it turned out to be.
I wish you all could have participated, it was full speed from the
first guitar riff, a full(300 ?) and almost claustrofobic hall(40
degrees I guess), singalong, stomping, smiling audience having a GREAT
time, a band on stage that was full of energy and happiness, and in an
atmosphere like the one in Bergen, all of the audience with great
expectations and a kind of "finally, here they are", eyes and minds
that turned 30 years back in time, smiling, remembering, nodding and
clapping...it was just great.
On stage Rob, lively, sometimes dancing, smiling, communicating and
the way he used his voice....well one could never believe he was
entering the plane for a new gig next day the following morning. He
was singing out loud from the beginning and again WHAT a voice the man
has, and as mentioned the temperature, well sometimes even his guitar
seemed to sweat, but he kept on rockin', had some water and then
rollin on, endlesly endlesly...
Luke look like as he has been with the band since 68/69,rocking,
smiling and in total control, he also seemed to love being on stage,
so obviously the apple doesn't fall far from the tree...
Steve in the back on his drums....my oh my, what an energy that man
has....soaking wet in the heat, but still fully energetic, smiling and
grinning....he just have to be one of the best drummers ever....
Art, well what can we say...??? He's steadier than Rocky Mountains on
his bass, smilingly, laughingly, always - as Luke - in total control
and show for the whole world he loves being on stage....beautiful !
Andy on different assortments of guitars, laughing, joking, smiling,
jumping around, and a true DEMON on his guitar.... please do never
leave the band !!
And me ?? A completely satisfied, happy and empty norwegian, at the
same time a bit sad knowing by myself that this band never got the
attention it should have had, but its never to late to hope that the
music loving people around the world soon will wake up, listen and
discover....
