Hi Phil and you all.
Here's one missing from your lyrics pages :

I thought I heard a rain drop fall
Trickle di dum dee dee
And a trickle was a stream
And a stream was a river
Running runnin running to the sea
And the sea meet the sky
You know you know you know
The sky had no end No end a no end no end

Aura Borealis
And a chu chu bone
A chu chi hoo a di
Your not going home
Got a sappa sappa and a hex spin
Like a crying out for water
Like a body thin

In the sky was a city
City palace all around wall
And a 12 guards where Bacchus fall
Aphrodite play with -
sheep from the out the den
theres a lion roar in my head
electric bim bam bim bam
Like I gotta woooo
And I gotta woooo
I gotta woo chu chi
Moan a bit moan a bit cry a bit sleep a bit die a bit
If you wanna if you like it

Theres a one tall maiden with a green eye
She says this is my heaven
You can make it if you try
Theres a woo ooo theres a woo oo
I die
Theres a woo oo I die
You hear the promises
blowin in the wind
The wind is a vehicle for a bad
mans sins
And The pearly city opens
you got a ticket on the town
stop-go stop go stop go stop...go
you know you can go
With a black bone and the blessings of and the blessings of Belial
and that's just about the death of the electric citizen

Hopefully there are not too much wrongwritten sentences/words here...

Enjoy - I did
Jarle.

Wow,what a gig!Think that was the most enthusiastic audience in a long
while!Everyone really seemed to be grooving along. The encore of Out Demons Out
was a real sonic blast.Looking around at the throng waiving their "butterflies"
during that number was something else.Watch out world, the EBB are really
happening!!
Surprise number of the night:Nighthog from Superchip;a real take no prisioners
performance,absolutely dynamic.
Was it worth the trip from the welsh borders. You bet.Cheers lads.Brilliant!

Should we all wear little conference badges so we all know who we are!
Better still, one of those little labels like Spike Milligan wore in the Q
Series!

It's all very quiet - who saw EBB at Barnet last Sunday?
Was it good? Did they draw a good crowd? How long was the set? Did they try out
any new songs? Will I always regret not being there?
These are the burning questions !!

'twas a good night was it not? here's some snaps I took at the gig, mostly of
EBB I'll admit, but hey, I'm biased ;0)

I did think that EBB put in the most polished and interesting set of the
evening, I'll agree with Neil, McPhee was a bit shaky at times but he's not a
well man and his set fairly rocked on. All the musicians involved seemed to have
a good time as did the big crowd. I did leave before the end as I had to drive
back to Stroud but I'm really glad I went.
Roll on the festivals!!, I should be posting dates on the Ebbsite shortly

Neil - you're right about McPhee - not quite on song, was he? Hey, but not bad for a support band !!
Great gig - all round, loved the Pretty Things. I intended to slip away early as I had a 2 hour drive ahead of me but stayed to the end
because they were just so good. Got home about 2.15am.
EBB were, as you say, Neil, really tight. Edgar seemed to be enjoying himself and was on great form.
Next time, Neil, we'll swap mobile No's and make sure we hook up. I was Billy-No-Mates but had a great time.
Cheers,
Steve

Hi all,

Really enjoyed last nights set by EBB. Must admit they sounded very tight and polished. I would say along with Stratford in 2007 it was the best they've sounded. Its a shame they didn't have longer to play. They played,

Mommas Reward,
Speak down the wires,
Why can't somebody love me
The Moth
Call me a liar
Green lights
Love in the Rain
Evening over Rooftops
Hotel Room
Out Demons Out

They really got the crowd going and the majority of the audience singing along to Out Demons Out. The band seemed to really enjoy themselves. Good to see Andy/Lewis Taylor back in the band. There was a really good turnout in Aylesbury. Must have been a good 500+ people there. Link below is for photos of the EBB last night;

http://www.film41.co.uk/F41/PG0906F40EB.html

And some of the EBB and other bands;

http://www.aylesburyfriars.co.uk/40thanniversaryparty.html

Must admit it was great to see Groundhogs and The Pretty Things (with special guest appearance from Arthur Brown!). Also saw Peter Jenner on a pair of crutches. Have also never seen so many paparazzi down the front of an EBB performance!

Was it me or did Tony Mcphee's guitar sound a bit off sync at times? Im not one to criticise the great man but I couldnt tell if he had a dodgy guitar or if he had a not so good night. Saying that, at times he was mindblowing. The pretty things were excellent, like EBB, they have an injection of younger blood in the band and they sounded great. Especially considering they had played the Childline gig at the o2 just before playing in Aylesbury. Particularly liked SF sorrow tracks and their blues covers.

Steve, sorry mate, did look around for you but couldnt see you. Hope you got home ok, we got back to Canterbury at 1am which wasnt too bad. By the way, nice to win the FA Cup wasn't it!

Cheers

Neil

hi there, just a suggestion but theres a place that would be perfect in my [and afew others opinion] for ebb to play at which is the stoney stanton social club in leicestershire not far from the warwickshire border. they regularly have tribute bands on limehouse lizzy to mention one.contact details 01455 272492, email; gigslist@hotmail.co.uk. its got a fair size stage, enough room for approx 200-300, a decent cheap bar and food hatch. ok i will it leave with you.stewart

Interesting, he'll undoubtedly know about them then. Some time back the guy who owns Kelly's got in touch and asked me if I thought they would be interested in playing there (my nephew put him onto me I think). I said I'd pop in to see him but as soon as I saw the place I knew it was no go. If lucky you might just get Steve on the stage, God knows where the rest of the band would play from, lol

I'm planning on talking to Arthur this weekend if I get the chance so I will mention this to him and gauge the band's interest. I know in the past they have said they would love to come home, but for the lack of the right place to play (the Spa Centre just isn't right for the image, despite being the perfect size).

Hopefully we may have planted a little acorn, if you get me?

Phil.

I have personally emailed The Assembly giving them info on the band and links to the sites, as well as contact details, as I couldn't agree more, this would be one helluva homecoming gig.

Maybe one email won't cut it though? Maybe all local fans should follow my lead?

Phil.

Fantastic news - does anyone know where's best to stay in Aylesbury? Been Googling hotels and B&B's but can't find one in obvious walking distance of
Maxwell Hall.
Otherwise, any tee-totallers who own a mini bus ??
Seriously, would be good if a group of us booked into the same hotel or B&B.
I've seen Tony McFee as a solo with Edgar (solo) a few years back but last time I saw the Groundhogs, early 70's,  they were supported by David Bowie !
Never seen the Pretty Things live to my shame.
Been a great day - EBB gig announced and Chelsea beat Liverpool at Anfield all in 24 hours - Worried that I'll wake up and find it's all a dream !
Steve
