Community Centre, Kilburn Street.
Oli Roberts from the Council's Parks Dept will be coming along to give
a presentation on planned work in local parks. It should be a really

Can you help out at a community litter pick? This is a chance to meet
other residents and do something practical to help your community!
2-6pm on Thurs 28th August (young people especially welcome)
Meet at 2pm at the back of Easton Leisure Centre on Thrissell Street
(off Stapleton Road). Picnic at Clifton Place afterwards!
We will be leafletting surrounding houses a few weeks before the event
so that we can get plenty of people to help out. All equipment
including gloves will be provided.

Easton Community Centre, Kilburn Street. This is for Street Monitors as
well, so that we can share ideas and experiences of our work to improve
the local environment.
There is also a Service Providers Group meeting on Tues Aug 5th 4-
5.30pm at Easton Community Centre. All members of the Environment Task
Group and Street Monitors are welcome to meet with officers from Waste
Management and Streetscene Enforcement to look at any particularly
thorny issues which arise between meetings.

Please keep in touch by accessing this forum. It was decided at the
last Environment Task Group on July 16th that we needed ONE
communication tool, and that this should be a simple forum for looking
at and posting messages so that we can pool information and
ideas between Task Group meetings.

Are you tired of seeing rubbish in the street?
Easton Residents Network & The Somali Voice have organised an open
discussion with Councillor Gary Hopkins and Bristol City Council
about rubbish problems in Easton. Included in the morning will be
short presentations from cultural groups in the area on their
experiences of rubbish and the chance to discuss concerns with waste
doctors. Grounds4Change will also be there to promote the start of a
street rep scheme to help tackle this.
The event is open to everyone in the community so come along on
Monday 11th December from 10-12pm at Easton Community Centre, Kilburn
Street.
Are you interested in improving the River Frome? Or hearing more
about environmental improvements locally? Come along to the next
Environment Task Group, an open meeting for local residents &
organisations working together to create a cleaner, safer, greener
Easton & Lawrence Hill. Living Rivers will talk about how they can
help with cleaning up the river and discuss local aspirations for
improving it. There will also be an update on a recent walkabout
held with residents and agencies to initiate environmental service
changes in key problem areas.
