The main talk will be on on Smarkets Erlang Web Framework (See
http://www.erlang-consulting.com/erlang/events.html#56) , but we also
have Lennart Ohman from Sweden. Lennart is the inventor of the OTP
Erlang design patterns and has been around the Erlang community since
1992, initially working on a Master's thesis project at the Computer
Science Lab, where Erlang was invented, and later with Erlang Systems,
Ericson's Erlang training and consulting arm. He will give a quick talk
on why the OTP design patterns were invented, who the original target
users were, giving us an insight into the history of what ended up
becoming the middle-ware used in all major industrial Erlang projects.
