This release introduces extensive design changes in the library, new
makernote formats (Olympus, Panasonic and Sony) and updated Canon and
Nikon makernotes plus bugfixes and a few minor features.

Thanks for all the feedback you provided along the way; that's really
what keeps this project going.

Looking ahead, new file formats are still high on the list of the
features I'd like to add. While adding makernotes, it also became
clear that the current Exif parser is not good enough for the more
obscure features of some of them.
Internationalization has been a topic more than once and in the same
context, a few other features would help GUI application programmers
who want to write metadata (e.g., lists of values to populate dropdown
lists and support to read interpreted values back).
However, progress with the bigger chunks will not be fast, I'm afraid,
as my current day job is keeping me rather busy now. But there will be
enough time to answer questions and fix bugs, and hopefully quickly.
