Foreland Point. Sunday 10th July 2005.
Largest group yet. 10 in all made their way along sillery sands past
Lower Blackhead Point to Upper Blackhead Point which had to be
climbed. No problems except the time involved in getting such a large
party over it, just short of an hour. The bottom of Great Red Gully
remains blocked with fallen debris but looks like it will still go
with a little care. Likewise Coddow Slip which has larger boulders in
the bottom. It took us four hours to reach Goat Rock on the east side
of The Foreland. We left Barna Barrow car park at about 1130 and
arrived back at 1900. The tide was not good, HW 0928 @ 8.3m LW 1508 @
1.9m. Sea flat brilliant weather.
