Path slippage and Rope removal.   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #38 of 728 |
Just incase you dont know I think I should advise you about some path
slippages and rope removals I have discovered.
Firstly the path down to Duty point/Lee stone (GR 69454975) has
slipped at roughly GR696496 , the old path is still passable with care
but new sections of path have been cut higher up. (as of 2 months ago).
The fixed rope down to the east of lee stone still remains but is not
in good condtion GR696497.
Secondly the path down to/just above Hewitts rock (GR 712501)has been
in bad condition now for a few years due to land slides and I feel
soon it will be dangerous/impassable without ropes, the fixed rope
that was there has been cut.

These path's could be valuable escape routes should you get cut off
near-by.

Marcus
