Had a second look at the headwall above the ridge on sunday. Moved down to the edge on option 1 and tried to focus on the beach 800ft below. Didnt fancy the abseil from the water pipe stake, decided to leave it for another day. Played on option 2 for the second time from the same stake, the exposure did'nt seem so intense. It has two pieces of bomb proof pro and a sturdy yew tree immediately above but it is steep. With a good clean this may well be the answer to finishing this route. Option 3 although looking like the natural line, was hell. I struggled to get up it using an ascender. Do not be enticed into the clean rock groove with steps on each side. The exit consists of vertical vegetation. Option 1 is the shortest escape at about 30ft and is immediately below the stake. It needs a recce to decide which is to be the final exit. I doubt if I shall be able to get back to it until July.
