A global network for exchanging information on Feed-in Tariffs (FITs)/ Renewable Energy Payments (REPs)/ Advanced Renewable Tariffs (ARTs). It can also generate campaigning work for the introduction of FITs in different countries, states and provinces.
It is not intended to be a commercial group; it is for reading relevant news stories, exchanging with others on how to get a FIT implemented, and how to improve existing policies.
News stories will only be posted if they make reference to FITs. If people could add the original link at the foot of the story, and if possible include the date and author, that would be helpful.
The Alliance for Renewable Energy site will carry more useful information on these issues - www.allianceforrenewableenergy.org.
The World Future Council campaigns for the international implementation of Renewable Energy Feed-in Tariff support schemes. Our PACT website (Policy Action on Climate Toolkit) - at www.onlinepact.org - is for policymakers, opinion formers and advocates mainly - but will be useful to all interested parties. It has many details on FIT schemes around the world, as well as a feature for producing a FIT bill, which can then be used for discussion and coalition building.
