Nothing to do

Sitting in my man made cave

Looking out of the window

At the driving rain bouncing

Of the path and the road

Running down the roof tops

Forming puddles that run

Down the drain's like a river

In a never ending flow

That's why I sit here do nothing

The wind bending tree's like straw

The leaves whip up and swilling

And dancing in the air

The flowers staying to and thought

People running for shelter

The umbrellas turning inside out

And news papers rise to the sky

Only to fall back down in a soggy mess

That's why I sit here do nothing

Car lights shining thought the rain

Making each drop look like jewel

Wind screen wipers trying

To keep up with the rain in vain

The tyres rolling thought making

Mini tsunami spreading a cross the road

Hitting the kerb as the sea hits

The rock sending spray into the air

That's why I sit here doing nothing

The lights from lamp posts

Being bend in wonderful patterns

Against the dark sky

Now the rain has stop

The wind now cold and

Jack Frost moves in and turns water to ice

That shines like diamonds

So I sit in my cave staring out

Of the window with nothing to do
