No no no, not the sequel, I would have said Volume 2 in that case
wouldn't I. Also before we kick off, let me also say that apart from
seeing ENTER THE DRAGON, and some dodgy South Korean movie from last
year called SHIRI, Asian cinema is not my speciality. So yes I have
missed all the references. Anyway despite intending to give this
whole shebang a miss, watching TRUE ROMANCE on video this week, gave
me a reminder of how good 'Tarintino' actually is (yes I know he only
wrote that, bite me). Therefore I decided it was time for me to get
with the program.

So what we have is a well pissed off 'Uma Thurman' all on account of
a few trouble makers on her wedding day. Fair enougth, any excuse to
watch a film with chicks fighting, and wow does 'Uma' kick ass. In
fact not since 'Sigourney Weaver' in Cameron's ALIENS, has there been
a lady so adept at handling lethal weapons. She certainly saw off
that chinky bird (and all her mates) who used to be in ALLY McBEAL.

The problem is though this film leaves so many unanswered questions.
Such as: Was 'Uma Thurman' actually a member of The Viper
Assasination squad, and why did they try to kill her anyway ? Is Bill
a serving police officer, or someone who is good at snatching pebbles
from his masters hand (who's quoting references now) ? Also why
would 'Michael Madsen' take part in a film where he is only on screen
for 15 seconds ? It's almost as if, why it's almost as if this film
needs a sequel to tie up all those loose ends !

As always with 'Tarintino' the beauty is in the dialogue and small
details. I especially liked the sheriff with four spare pairs of
sunglasses on his dashboard, and check out nurse assasin 'Daryl
Hannah' sporting a little red cross on her white eyepatch. I didn't
quite agree with the cartoon sequence though, nor the battle
with 'Lucy Lui's army partly being shot in black and white. Those
quibbles aside KILL BILL is high octane cartoonish escapism.

Also 'Uma Thurmans' bottom was looking as nice as ever; oh pleeeze
don't pretend you weren't looking at it. So until Volume 2 then
(anyone know when it's coming out ?).

Thanks for the info Gary, a censorship problem wouldn't have occured to me, but I guess in colour it would have been quite a bloodfest. I was joking about the...

With regards the black and white sequence: Yeah, it was shot in colour. You can tell it's not black and white film. (Also, part of it was shown in colour on...
