Cambridge Film Festival 2004

This is one of those films which I find hard to evaluate on one
viewing. It's an intriguing analysis of a peaceable, lonely young man
who is driven to extremes. The whole film teeters precariously
between a strange humour and intimations of things much darker. For
me, this balancing act works well, partly because of Fabian Hinrichs'
fine performance in the lead role.

I shall certainly be looking to revisit this film in the future.
