Rosemary's Baby [Roman Polanski, 1968]   Message List

The slow, sinister, meticulous build up of tension throughout this
film is unremitting and almost sadistic in its effect. And also quite
brilliant.

This is the first time I've managed to see Rosemary's Baby all the way

that some of the more ludicrous aspects of the plot are perfectly
convincing within the context of the movie, are testament to
Polanski's skills as director and writer, and to the excellent cast.
