A kind of modern take on those grisly 70s and 80s slashers, I thought
this horror film was genuinely gripping and well made.
There is no time to relax in a storyline that ratchets up the tensions
from the first frame. Uncertainty over chronology of the scenes helps
to keep you on your toes, while the gruesome scenes are suitably
unpleasant.
I have heard that some found the `twist' in the story rather
ridiculous, but I quite liked it: it's carefully signposted
throughout, and didn't feel like a last minute gimmick.
A good quality horror.
