If you just sit back and let the stylish direction, the good music,
and the convincing performances all wash over you, you may well enjoy
this film. Just don't let your brain engage, because the Memento-like
storyline is at best mildly irritating in its absurdities, or at worst
unbelievably silly.
It a shame really, because the direction and editing of the piece try
to convey the confused perception of the protagonist in a promising
way. However, the plot is so detached from any kind of reality and so
unwittingly pretentious, that this viewer at least was laughing at
(rather than with) the film. Mind you the sex scenes are quite good
fun, and mostly gratuitous.
My tip is watch Memento instead.
