Just written a quick script in which Buster's Evil Eye has an
encounter with another Fleetway character. 2 pages of 8 uncluttered
panels each. Let me know if anyone is interested. Script is below.

Also, got a war/sci-fi script coming very soon. I've written the story
but can't think who the characters are! 6 pages long.

EVIL EYE v SHINER by Chris Smillie (2007)
EE = Evil Eye; S = Shiner; <> = artist direction; [] = text box

Anticipate two pages of 8 panels, plus a splash page.

Splash
<Traditional opening title to Evil Eye>
[as originally seen in Buster comic!]
<EE seen in virtually all panels floating around>
Panel 1
<EE is floating over a crowd of people in a fairground> EE: Hmmm it's
been so long since anyone saw me
Panel 2
EE: Maybe the readers have forgotten just why I'm called Evil Eye!
Panel 3
<EE is flying over a boy in the crowd - he's actually Shiner but we
don't know that yet - no black eye and looking quite innocent> EE: Ah,
he looks exactly the kind of boy I'm looking for!
Panel 4
ZZZAAAPPP<EE zaps Shiner, S looks like he's had an electric shock> EE:
Now for some mischief!!
Panel 5
<now looks confused> S: I promised Mum I wouldn't get into trouble but...
Panel 6
<looking evil and smiling with merry-go-round behind him> S: Now I
feel really naughty!
Panel 7
<see a hand trip a SOFTY SLOW-FAIRLY FAST-STUPIDLY QUICK switch on a
dashboard> S: This should liven it up!
Panel 8
<the Merry-Go-Round is whizzing with the children holding on for dear
life - might be nice to have a few characters on it such as Ball Boy,
Cheeky, Sweet Tooth or whoever> <kids are all screaming for help>
Panel 9
<replaces the hammer of a Test-Your-Strength with a rubber mallet - a
sign points out that the hammer is rubber> S: This should be a giggle!
Panel 10
<a big lad - maybe someone like Fit Fred or some other Fleetway comic
bully not seen in a few years- picks up the mallet ready to smack down>
Panel 11
<as he brings the hammer down, it rebounds and catches him full on the
face>
Panel 12
<S is doubled up in fits of laughter> E: That was really evil! Heh-heh.
Panel 13
<the big lad is rolling up his sleeve ready to punch S> So you think
that's funny!!!
Panel 14
SMACK! <S is caught full on the face by a punch>
Panel 15
<S cannot be seen for a cheering crowd> EE: Hee-hee! That was
fun...hang on, why is everyone cheering?
Panel 16
<Shiner is in his pose that would open Chips comic with a blackeye and
smile and the title of SHINER> S: I don't know what happened there
readers but it's got me back into a comic! <EE is slinking away at
the bottom of the page> EE: Curses! Foiled again!
<bottom line of page>
[Also starring Shiner (Whizzer & Chips)] <do the same with whatever
other characters you use, e.g. Cheeky (Krazy)>

Hi all,
Just posted up a few pages from my new comic book 'BORDERLINERS'.
Unlettered as yet (except the title page).

Cheers!

I think it would be a good idea if the artists among us posted samples
of their wares for the writers to see the various styles we have on
offer. I've set the ball rolling by putting up a couple of pages of a
war story - lets see what else is out there!

In response to a query,

WRITERS: post a synopsis - a paragraph or two - here, laying out the
character and basic plot. Otherwise, if an artist indicates he'd like
to draw a particular character/situation, get in touch and bag him.

ARTISTS: post here the sort of character/story you'd like to draw.
Otherwise, wait until an idea for a story from the artist comes up and
bag him.

FORMAT: colour or black-and-white is fine. Pr4eferably around 1 to 8
pages per story, though serials are fine but remember how
time-consuming the art is. To be probably published in cbr format.

Can I ask everyone to go to Database and fill in the creator records,
so we can see what kind of writer/artist/favourite character mix we have.

If anyone has any ideas about more columns to add let me know.
