Re: [friendsofanne] A Lovely Anecdote

Will, that particular agent is a professional plonker!
My co-writer submitted one of our scripts for a
domestic sit-com a few years ago. One woman wrote back
and was exceptionally critical of vertually every
paragraph. (Obviously the silly cow had nothing
better to do)!

She concluded her letter by saying "In any case,
despite all of the above, domestic sit-coms died a
death many years ago and there is now no market for
them."

Pardon me for being disillusioned, but aren't they the
most successful sit-coms...and still harvesting
audiences worldwide. Since this letter was received by
us, the UK invested a lot of money in buying "Friends"
from the U.S. (Obviously THAT was so out of date that
no-one bothered watching it)!!!

Stick to your guns Will. These arrogant little people
who try lording it over others in their professional
capacity irk me beyond belief.

Of COURSE there is no market for Anne Droyd...that's
why you have people champing at the bit for a sequel.
"Who's a silly boy then?!"
