If you are the owner of a Yahoo! Group and want to stop members from connecting your group to Grouply.com, there is a procedure here to do that:

After an outcry of complaints from group owner-moderators, Grouply made available this web page they call “Grouply Access Controls for Group Owners.” Reportedly they intend to add new “controls” to help you prevent grouply.com and its subscribers in your groups from wresting from you the control you already had as a Yahoo! Groups owner-moderator.

Grouply will deny this anytime. But when someone gets involved with Grouply...they put all of their groups that they belong to in this place where they can access them all at once. When you do this...you are giving them your password for your email and everything. Once you have done this...then Grouply will get into your accounts and harvest the emails. Then everyone in those groups start getting spammed bigtime.
