Pls notice subject # 92, ESA PAO event, Friday December 15 GMT 19:07. That’s when the first ever officially sanctioned sports event will happen in space ! ESA (European Space Agency) have been granted official sanctioning from WFDF and the Swedish Frisbeesport Federation for an MTA (Maximum Time Aloft) competition.
Christer Fuglesang promised his frisbee buddies from the very start when he got accepted to the program at NASA that he’d bring a disc when he eventually would go into space, but it’s been a long wait, 14 years…
If anyone sees any article about the event on Friday, pls forward links to Jonas Bengtsson
the person in our federation who’s compiling all such material for ESA (they want to know how much attention is paid to such PR related events…)
