For those of U who may have missed the LARS Convention Lecture by Mark G4FPH.
And would of missed the calls seen on the linking (G3ZJG)
Have a look at these links.
If you link on to the G3YXM home page and listen on 1942 KHZ at 21.00 hundred tonight ((SUNDAY)) U may also see streamed pictures.
It would be nice to see the LRS HF/VHF facilities accessable for those members who have not access to a decent antenna system.
Will have to check the legalities M3Remote Operation but think no problem.
Don,tt take much notice of ur licence booklet but consult the OFCOM site as its more accurate and up to date.
All we need at LRS is broadband access perhaps using a wireless link.
If u have two PC,s then U have all the requirements for remote linking your station
Only one PC you can access other peoples shacks.
Note this is REAL RADIO not be confused with DSTAR ICOM Non Open Source rip off or ECHO Linking etc.
Moving your Radio operating position to a remote position .
ie lap top in the lounge and the wirelss in the shed.
You are still the operator !
PC is just a link.
Any questions pse ask but loads of info on the web.
Hope to get set up soon here as my Winter project..
