I'm not sure if this is the same as the one we were fiddling with just
last week here at work. There was a blanking thing in the hole and it
looks like a PCMCIA card with a piece missing. If it is the same thing,
then PCMCIA cards do not fit. We know because we were trying to get one
into it and failed miserably.

Subject: [dmuars] Express Card and PCMCIA
Anybody know anything about the Express Card slot on the Dell Laptop? I
need a parallel port to be able to drive my newly acquired G-1000DXC
rotator. My Dell of course only has USB and the Express Card slot.
I am hoping to use the PCMCIA Parallel Port Card Trans PC Card but I
don't know if will work in Express Card slot. I don't believe any of the
USB - LPT adapters are of any use in this case.
The reason I need a parallel port is I am thinking of using the EA4TX
rotator interface which only works with a parallel port. Perhaps someone
knows of a different interface which will work with USB.
