MF-HF CAROLINA WINDOM ANTENNA @ G3LRS   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #69 of 662 |
Re the so called Carolina Windom (Offset Dipole) currently installed at LRS. For MF-HF
1.Antenna as installed currently covers 80 - 10Mrs,
Many thanks to all who assisted in Raising the ends to a more reasonable height, Special thanks to "Gordon the Climber"
The 80 - 10 Mrs coverage is because the transformer & Choke were designed for these frequencies.
2.Next job is to trim the antenna which may mean we can use the main HF (Trio) radio without its internal ATU on some bands.
3.I have spoken to Roger the Treasure & intend to order :-
a. Matching Transformer.
b  Balun to suit.
This should accommodate  top band. (160 Mrs)
For info look at attachment also the Radio Works site, http://www.radioworks.com/
