Hi I've used it on the Yorkshire Moors and it is fine - and up Moel Famau in N. Wales. There is NO NEED to manually add WAYPOINTS - it is permanently recording

Ed - suspect that there's a pretty simple explanation for that..... Here's my "ex RN navigating" feeling on it - GPS measures distance by calculating frequency
