It works perfectly well on planes. It will give you speed, altitude, direction
of travel and total mileage. As the plane is climbing or descending, you can
watch the altitude changing. It will even tell you how many calories you have
burned, but i wouldn't count on that figure being too accurate. You can export
the trip to Google earth and it will show you the route you have taken. Be sure
to get a window seat, as it will need a view of the sky.
