Forerunner 50 Pairing?

Having spent hours trying to get my new Forerunner 50 to download to
my pc and nearly packaged up the unit ready to send back to the
seller, I took your advice and contacted Garmin direct using their
free phone service.
Amazing I got through in under 4 minutes and a very helpful chap on
the other end went slowly through the pairing of the unit.
After the second attempt the USB stick contacted the watch unit and
the little radio icon came up on the watch.
We put in some information and "bingo" all was well and the graph
came up with my heartbeat data. The watch unit had got it's knickers
in a twist and after re-setting the unit no problem since.
One very happy chap.
Garmin were brilliant and I wish I had contacted then first before
getting very angry with the unit. If all call centres were this good
what a happy world it would be.
