After many years as a 'retired baritone', I shall be giving a recital of English
song, with the pianist Caroline Soresby, at St John the Baptist, Chipping Barnet
EN5 4BW, on Saturday 8 August at 11.30 a.m. Songs by Finzi ('Let us garlands
bring'), Tippett ('Songs for Ariel'), Elgar ('The fringes of the fleet') and
Britten (folksong arrangements). More a one-off than a comeback, I suspect. But
you never know!
