Our Name:
The association of Ghananian TBA alumni shall be referred to as TBA Ghanaian Alumni Group

Our Composition:
We are an association of Ghanaians who have ever attended a Tropical Biology Association field course.

Formation:
The formation of the group commenced with a series of consultations with the TBA Projects Officer. On Sunday July 24, 2005 we took advantage of an assemblage of TBA alumni on an Earthwatch expedition in Ghana to organise a meeting with some Kenyan and a Cameroonian TBA alumni with the TBA Projects Officer. Exactly two months later, the group was fully born with an inaugural meeting at the Faculty of Renewable Natural Resources, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.

Our goal:
We aspire to contribute to natural resources conservation with our knowledge, expertise and experiences

Our major objective:
The Ghanaian TBA Alumni Group exists to complement the efforts of Tropical Biology Association to help educate young biologists and conserve the ecosystem in which we live.

Our activities:
- Organisation of educational outreach programmes and seminars in collaboration with biological sciences and environmental students'associations on campuses
- Medium of exchange of job and research opportunities

What we hope to do:
- Volunteer to teach on TBA courses if anyone qualifies
- Organise pickups from the airport for any TBA alumni coming for a programme in Ghana
- Write proposals to win projects for the group
- Ensure the continual subscription of members to Society of Conservation Biology

Meetings:
We meet once each half year.
