Hi guys (and gals),

I have just gotten my 1998 Runner FXR, wonder if anyone can help me
out here.

1. The coolant keeps splurting out from the cap, it happen everytime
I ride, seems like everytime quite alot, any idea why? I just
purchase a new coolant cap and it still the same.


........ive heard boiling the cap in water halps

2. Any idea what the "LOCK" on the ignition key position is for?

.......it locks the seering!

3. My fuel comsumption is really bad, only goes about 150km before
warning light come on.


...Sounds normal, i only get 165km from a tank

4. Oh, and how do i know where to top up the 2-stroke oil under the
seat to? don;t seems to have any indicator position like a max mark
anywhere.

......fill to the top!!

The cap is probarbly to tight check the seal inside the cap it maybe pushed to one side, The lock is the steering lock which you engage by turning the steering...
