Hi Col, don't get me wrong, I'm not sitting here seething or anything. The
"Silly" bit I was
referring to was your comment "I'd be interested to know which of their members
was in
the original Sweet... ". It's silly because it sounded like a snide remark as
you know full
well that there are no original members, nor do we claim that there are.
For Chrissakes we have been around long enough now for people to know what the
deal
is. Also we don't "Trade" on anything other than working hard, being
professional and
being nice guys to deal with. I'm sure the inferrence that we trade on being
something we
are not was totally accidental :-)
Just for the record, there have been at least 4 members of BC Sweet who DID work
with
Brian since I have been in it. I COULD spend forever replacing former Brian
colleagues with
others, but jeez, life is too short. I'd rather just have a great band TODAY.
Everything else
is just history and heritage.
I don't think anyone would rather go see a crap show that included someone who
once
bought Brian a pint over a great BC Sweet line up of 2007 would they?
Am I sensitive about BC Sweet? Absolutely! It's been my life for 7 years now and
I have
sacrificed EVERYTHING to make it a great band again, and I do mean everything! I
am
sensitive about pretty well anything I take seriously, including friends, The
Glitterband,
Young Things Don't Scream and lots more besides.
I work damned hard at what I do. When I leave stage I can barely stand and I am
soaked to
the skin. I give heart and soul for my work. I'm sure you do the same. And like
you, I will
take any unfair comments personally and the fair ones onboard. Like I said, we
ain't stars,
just normal working blokes. No offence taken, just need to be clear on my
position :-)
