Hello everyone - been a long time since i posted but thought that
seeing as Alison & myself have been gigging recently, should let you
all know.

We went to Brean Sands last month (first time for me). It is so much
better than Butlins - on the whole, the bands are glam based (some
exceptions), they give afternoon entertainment,& the atmosphere is so
much better (not full of pi**ed stag & hen parties). In fact, seeing
the line-up that was at Butlins last weekend, we have decided not to
bother with Butlins anymore.

Since then saw Lipstick Torpedo at a social club in Enfield. Their
set has certainly changed a lot with a lot more 70's rock in it
(rather than just glam) - the way i prefer it.

The following weekend & it was off to darkest Sussex to see Sweet FA.
Been a long time since we have seen them & was impressed. Would have
been even better if they hadnt had to keep their volume down - there
were council officials there with decibel meters. Apparently, some
old bag or NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard) has recently moved in next to
the club & just complains about the noise - what did she expect
moving next to a club? - Stupid Woman!!! The other thing of note was
learning that Si is leaving the band because he has joined the TA (in
fact, he has already cut off all his hair).

Last weekend, we ventured to a pub near to Crystal Palarse FC to see
Slurred. Although Alison has seen them a few times, this was my first
time. They certainly know how to dress up with the lead singer on
platforms almost 1 foot high!!! They are great fun & look forward to
seeing them again.

This weekend, off to Aberystwyth, so if any glam bands playing there
on Saturday, let us know!!!

Last weekend before Xmas, hope to be at Cupid Stunts gig in Bishops
Stortford.

Blimey, a glam pre-xmas or what??
