Leader you are so right. 1 night only with the LOOK would be
perfect.I've checked your website BUSY BOYS you don't have a saturday
free before christmas,hence your suggestion of Jan 3 rd.Seems a long
way off.
There is one large pub here in town called Goldsworth Arms (no
website or internet presence) they have just had a re launch with new
tenants who are putting on live music every fri and saturdays,mostly
tributes.
They just had -Weller Live (paul weller trib) Planet Abba,and I
believe tonight they had an Elvis tribute,The pub is quite large
enough for 150 - 200 people and would be a good venue.Although basic
surroundings.
The new tenants are parents of a girl whose boyfriend was my nieces
ex,so let me check on whats available I'll go and meet them.
Also my sister and husband know so many people that we would have no
trouble selling tickets.One thing I learned about previous weekends
is that the best audience are local to where ever your event is.
Part 4 was a fiasco,I did the auction as normal but wasn't even on
the commitee of however many people it was,and still to this day
don't know who was paid what.Which is probably why certain people
haven't been seen since,I can only assume that Sigue Sigue Sputnik
and others were paid not only to perform but also for their
accomodation.SHAME.
If this site and myself are involved in any future event/s then I
will make sure that ALL people involved and MONEY be accounted for.
Other wise I'm not interested.
That was then and this is now.
I feel the dust has settled and maybe we all need something to LOOK
forward to.
Besides if all goes well,then a weekend next summer with the LOOK and
GLITTER BAND and others would be a real possibility.
maybe even a name change, WILD, WICKED, WEEKEND IN WOKING has a
certain ring to it.
I wish I drove, I saw today, that tonight you were in Bracknell,hope
you had a good gig,
