Well if the subject had of been for a ficticious murderer it might have been
ok.But by using Mr.Gadd is outrageous and a cheap form of sensationlism ( i cant
spell either).Im sure he has every right to sue and while some people would have
liked it.It made me squirm.
Again my beautifull youth was under question.
Third world countries need help from western countries to get their own act in
order. Its tragic that parents DO put their own children into prostitution-As we
speak tomorrow one of us will go to Primark or where ever and buy a £1 shirt
that some poor child in India has made when they are not sleeping on the floor
beside thier sowing machine.
We are all guilty to a degree. This country is turning into a poundland.
so practically everything we buy cheap someone or some animal is suffering. It
was only 200 years ago we used to put our own children up chimneys and in poor
houses with thier mothers.
So much doom and gloom in life was probably my main reason for getting into Glam
Rock in the first place. And I have to say all these years later I still love it.
Rock On.

Mickey might be dyslexic which means he finds English language, punctuation &
spelling difficult. This does not mean he is uneducated or unintelligent -
Einstein & Richard Branson are two fine examples of dyslexics. A spellcheck
doesn't pick up all spelling mistakes anyway.
People should be more tolerant of others. We are all different & it would be
horrible if we were all the same!
Mickey posts regularly to this forum & keeps it alive! He does not stop anyone
else from posting onto this site. Leave him alone.

A week ago I just joined this group and I asked a very important question, well
as least to me, it went unanswered. Now I see a person doesn't use proper
grammar and the whole group wakes up and chimes in. I don't think I want to be
part of this type of group. All I've really learned by joining this group is
people who like Glam Rock can be shitheads too.

"While categorizing music in genres or sub-genres can be difficult and often
misleading, Glam is one of most misused term in musical classification. Bands I
find to be classified as "Glam" I feel more so fall under the category of
Glitter, or Bubble-gum, or Proto-Punk, or Hard Rock,or Power-pop, or even Disco.
Of course there is the frequent usage of Glam to describe some of the 80s Heavy
Metal. I would like to find a definitive definition of "Glam." I would than like
to find definition of "Glitter" in contrast to "Glam." Thanks for the help and
insight."

This forum is not. I repeat NOT a place to attack someones level of written
English. YOU may find it painful to read, however, without people like Mikey
this and many other forums would simply fade into oblivion.

'Should be able to read and write correctly'?? Thats mighty fine idealistic talk
but this is the real world.

Oh and anyone can post at any time so please don't accuse someone of flooding a
forum and suggesting it stops others posting.

I'm afraid I'm very insulted by your attitude to Mikey.
Where I grew up not everyone had to opportunity to be well educated.

Please accept this as a warning. Any more insults about what a persons level of
education 'should' be and I will remove you from this group !

Hi Mickey,

Noddy Holder deliberately mis-spelled his songs for artistic reasons: he was
reacting against the art rock groups like Pink Floyd and 10cc. He is a
literate person.

You, on the other hand, do not sound like one. It doesn't matter if you are
not at school anymore, by not applying what you learned in English and
grammar lessons you make yourself look ignorant to some of the members.

I am not the only one who feels this way.

Best wishes,

Dario Western

Maybe, but it is painful to read posts where there is no punctuation and
just sounds like a load of babble. Plus I imagine that this forum is mostly
populated by mature aged people who should be able to write coherently.

Mikey basically floods this forum with several posts every day. I am
passionate about Glam Rock and 70's music too, but I would appreciate it if
he didn't post so incessantly and lets others to have their say on things as
well. When one individual monopolises forums, it is off-putting to other
members. I'm not saying that he should quit this group, just remember that
he is not the only one on here who likes Glam Rock music.

You are entitled to your own opinion, but you're wrong.

I am no more or less educated than the average person, I reached Year 12 in
school and did some tertiary education (though never went to University).
It seems to be a tactic of the politically correct: defend the uneducated
and attack those who are educated and articulate, and insult their
intelligence. What Mikey could do is get the Microsoft spell checker
installed onto his email service so it can check for spelling mistakes and
sentence construction before being sent out.

Best wishes,

Dario Western

Hi Mick,

I don't mean to be rude, but could you please use some punctuation and
proper spelling with your threads and posts? If you are going to refer to
TV shows or music, could you post the URLs to them so that we know what you
are referring to? That would be great! :-)

Thanks,

Dario Western

He should sue.

No one likes what he did, or what he has become, but it's completely wrong
for the media to rewrite history like this.
