RE: [glasgowspeakgroup] Hello!

Hello Lyndsey and noble_aryan (should we call you Noble?) may I welcome you both to the Glasgow Speak Group.  Its so good to have some new folk on board.

I think its only fair that us "old hands" introduce ourselves to you as well.

I live in Moodiesburn (just north of Glasgow on the A80), where I go to a 11 year old church plant from Chryston Parish Church (CofS).  I'm a software engineer working for a not for profit organisation who produce administration educational software for local authority schools in Strathclyde (and hopefully out with Strathclyde in the new future).  It would seem that since July I have now reached the age when I have to think what age I am - 27.

Lyndsey, if you were at the Speak Group's Dance Upon Injustice ceilidh then you may have seen David Ampofo and myself.  I think I was the first to dance (some would say jump) all over the "Injustice" banner at the end.

We normally meet at 3pm on the last Sunday on the month in Rae's flat: 2/2, 799 Dalmarnock Road.  Sadly I'll miss the next meeting as I'll be having a long over due holiday in Skye, Wester Ross and Sutherland with Jenny my girlfriend.

Brian

Subject: [glasgowspeakgroup] Hello!

Hi everyone, I've just joined the group (I think!) and thought I should introduce myself. I'm a bit of a luddite so fingers crossed that this works!

I have recently graduated from St Andrews university and am working in a library at the moment. I hope to go back to studying next year, so am saving up for that.

I am 21 and my favourite colour is blue. I read a lot, mainly because I work in a library, the perks of which are that I get to take out as many books as I like. I joined St Andrews' fledgling Speak group in it's second and my fourth year and it was great. A beautiful merging of God and politics and activism.

Lyndsey
