Hi Rae, and all,
Thanks for this info - will pursue those contacts when i return next week from a trip to the Midlands and Wales this afternoon. Let's pray for these potential opportunities to reach out into the student scene at Glasgow.
In terms of dates for visiting, i think 8th April would probably be a bit too soon. Reason being, I'm trying to co-ordinate coming to see you guys with an Edinburgh trip to see and work with a current student interested in setting up a SPEAK group there, which involves some planning and contacting CU people too. All very exciting so please pray for this groundwork process - that links can be made and we can gather people to begin this group in Queen Margaret's college as well as Edinburgh uni.
I will keep you informed, but do keep in touch with more potential dates, it's really helpful.
God bless,
Ele
xx

On Saturday 8th April there will be a march for asylum
seekers and supporters in to the centre of Glasgow
around 11am to 2pm. Not sure if this event makes that
date good or bad for a visit, Ele! (there's also a
peace cycle ride that weekend)
I emailed someone at the School of Art, but they seem
quite busy with cu stuff.
There are contacts for other Christian Unions in
Glasgow at;
http://www.gucu.co.uk/contacts.php?recipient=5
http://www.strathclydecu.co.uk/
http://www.geocities.com/caleycu/
The International Christian College does urban
ministry courses and may be sympathetic to SPEAK's
vision http://www.icc.ac.uk/news.php?page=3
Does anyone know people at the uni's who may be
interested in Speak?
Rae
