Hi again Glasgow!
"Let us consider how we may spur one another towards love and good
deeds." Hebrews 10:24
It's that time of year again when you ask your nan, your grandaddy
and all the people that you know whether they've heard of SPEAK's
annual gathering - Soundcheck - and whether they'd like to come along!
We're looking for Soundcheck mobilisers - people who can get their
friends excited about justice, help others to understand God's heart
for the poor, and challenge people to challenge injustice.
If this is something you've done before, or even if it isn't, then
let 2006/2007 be the year in which together we can really fire up
people to pray and campaign!
A few things you can do to start with if you want to be a Soundcheck
mobiliser:
> Check out all the details on the SPEAK website and make sure you
can make it to Soundcheck yourself! (www.speak.org.uk/sc07)
> Pray!
> Make a list of everyone you know and invite them all to Soundcheck
personally!
> Let me know on the email address above if you need booking forms to
distribute - we have loads!
> Book together (and travel together?), and tell others who are
interested that this is what you're doing - if you pay for five
people, you get to bring the 6th for free!
> Book early - it's a fiver cheaper before Wednesday 15th December!
[It's really important to get people committed before Christmas
> Let me know on the email address above that you're mobilising and
who you've invited so the Network Support Team can, uh, support
you...prayer, encouragement, general bullying! ;-)
It's not rocket science! If you meet someone, let them know that it's
a really great event and that you'd love it if they came! Emphasise
that it's not JUST a big serious meeting, or a conference where you
just sit and listen, but that it's interactive and fun!
I will keep using exclamation marks! Yes! I will!
Peace
Rob
