Clearly all this top drainage work was going on further up the trail. Those
of use working down at the coal-face have to report that we're not quite
finished yet but it would be good to get some hardcore down on the sections
above the second stream crossing. Apart from anything it will reduce the
chances of loosing a boot to the quagmire on the way down.

If it's only a little bit of seepage would it be enough to cut a trench and
put some big stones in it. That way there should still be voids for the
water to seep through even once the hardcore has been put down and whacker-
plated.

What happens to gloves? Are the young-uns eating them while we're not
looking?

I predict that Mushroom Pie is going to be a popular addition. The swoopy
speedy nature should attract the XC riders and the h/core doodz should
enjoy the skinny and gap-jump. A little something for everyone.

At the session Andy also gave us a little progress report on project fatty.
Apparently he's floated the idea with his bosses and no one screamed "hell
no!" So on that basis he's going to make it a formal proposal thus forcing
people to have an opinion on it one way or the other.

Indeed, I have an afternoon of riding booked up already. Just don't expect
to be able to book the two 1500ukp full-sussers which Chris would recommend
to you, in medium. (The Trek Fuel EX 8 and the Gary Fisher Hi-Fi Pro)
However since I R XC jay-boy my test ride R Sarisen. (Along with the
Hemlock and a few others)
