Hello!
Last Saturday's session was a good 'un - thanks to everyone who came
along. I optimistically suggested we might get as far as the 180
turn totally completed. Didn't quite get that far on, but the stone
work for the upper drain section is just about there and lots of
surfacing got layed on the trail bed aswell as more big rocks down
ready for pitchin'. Chris, Matthew and Alistair did some sweet
tweaking to the trail line in a couple of places and continued the
drainage on the next soft section.
The drains are dong a grand job of keeping the water off the trail
and with the amount of material we are putting down, this section
should be bombproof for years to come. Nice one and thanks everyone
for getting stuck into the drainage work with typical 'fairy
enthusiasm. Not the most glamourous of jobs I know!
A big thank you also to Rich L and Dierdrie for bringing along home
made brownies for the troops, even though they couldn't make the
session!
I'm away when the next session would normally be - sat 5th April, so
there'll be no fairy session then. The next session will be a
fortnight after this on Sat 19 April. See you then!
Andy
