Cambridge Gliding Centre is one of the UK's leading centres for gliding and is set in the Cambridgeshire countryside 12 miles west of the university town of Cambridge. The club has 160 active members with four 2 seaters for training, 2 Discus, 1 Pegasus and 2 Juniors for solo. We have 3 runways, a clubhouse and a dedicated hangar for the club fleet. For launching there are 2 tugs and a 2 Supacat winches capable of launching to over 1600'.
On September 4th 2006 we staged the UK round of the Sailplane Grand Prix where 20 of the UK's best pilots competed for a place in the finals.
