Dear Riaz Kanth,
thank god at least u responded. I had sent email to all the
addresses i had. this was our second meeting of the 85 Gems (the
previous one was just to give shape to this meeting)
we had invited every person whom we could contact. the response was
overwhelming. i will try to narrate exactly what happened. first we
met in the GMC lawn (the same one where we had our farewell) we were
surprised to see Sunil Bhat, Anil Ganjoo, Nymphea koul, farah Naaz,
Rakesh koul, etc and there were many tears shed openly as some
people had come to sgr after 17 years. after lot of hugging everyone
intoduced himself and what he or she is doing at present. Almost all
the people in valley (except the usual snobs) were there from gmc,
skims jvc and all the corners of field. after this we broke up for
some time and the there was a grand dinner party in Grand Mumtaz
Hotel which was attended by 43 people. even some people had got
their children which added further color to the meeting. there were
lot of jokes cracked and all the memories (the bad ones shhhh also)
were brought out. then Anil once again sang like the old times in
the canteen and the picnic buses. as you know the situation here we
had to say bye to most of our females classmates but the men kept on
chatting till 9 pm (for us it is quite late) then it was decided
that every year the third saturday of the May will be our annual
meet. we hope that we will be able to see u and everyone else here
next time in 2008. every guest was given a CD of the afernoon meet
to take something back. the only word i can use for the day
is "WONDERFUL". plz do send this mail to all of our classmates.if it
is possible i will try to upload the vedio of the meet so that you
people will also get that nostalgia.

incidently i was not the only person organising the meet. Sherwani,
farooq fazili and sunil bhat helped a lot.
