Crane banding in Poland and Mecklenburg Western-Pomerania   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #1659 of 2685 |
Dear Cranefriends,

It is a pleasure to inform you that our team caught 40 juvenil cranes in
Mecklenburg Western-Pomerania and 13 in eastern Poland (Masuren) in 2006. 18 of
the cranes in Germany got additionally a backpack transmitter (all active
frequencies you will find at www.Kraniche.de).

In Poland we were guided by our college Marian Szymkiewicz. It was excellent
planned - thank you Marian. We used three small green rings for the country
code (the "new" ring generation by the ringing center Radolfszell - acquired by
Beate Blahy and Eberhard Henne). So, please colleges - especially in Hungary,
keep your eyes open to find the Polish Cranes and send observations to both
email addresses:
gruidae@...
muz.przyr@...

It is a cooperation project between the Muzeum Przyrody Oddzial Muzeum Warmii
i Mazur and Crane Protection Germany.

In Mecklenburg Western-Pomerania we used again the Blue-Blue-White
combination on the left.

Thank your very much in advance.

Have a wonderful crane autumn - best wishes,

Thomas, Karsten, Anja & Günter
