The counting of cranes

2.9.07 only 611 left, hunting season began on 1. September, no more
ducks and geese either. About 2000 cranes had left for south during
this hunting. We had almost 2500-3000 ducks and 6000 geese feeding in
the fields in the evenings and in the morning. Of course people hunt
for wildfowl but they are feeding among the cranes. (Matti Maskulin,
