Don’t you realize that this is the price that must be paid because everyone sat around clapping their hands while PARIS won the Olympics competition.

"Despite promises from the Government to the contrary, the recent cut in this year's lottery funding shows that the Government's raids on the lottery to fund the 2012 Olympics are having a detrimental impact on community projects."

Yes, and we are from the Government and are here to help you!!!!  Trust me, I am a bureaucrat!   Why do you think we invented the lottery to get more people who cannot afford it, to gamble at a “game” that professional gambler won’t play because the odds are so badly against the sucker.  Silly people!  It was just another clever way to raise money without calling it “taxes”.  Now just don’t believe that after the Olympics, there is ANY chance that the “loans” will be re-paid or that it will EVER be anything but a money-raiser for our profligate Governmental ways.

Now, quit whinging and get out there and gamble, gamble, gamble as befits a Briton proud of THEIR Olympics!
