Hackney Draft Compact Consultation Event - Thursday 24 November

The consultation event on the Hackney Draft Compact will go ahead on
Thursday 24 November.

This important event is for the voluntary and community sector and
public sector to discuss the draft Compact and provide feedback as we
move towards agreeing a Hackney Compact in February 2006. It has been
decided to run the event as originally planned so we can meet the agreed
date for a final Compact.

The Hackney draft Compact consultation event will be held at 10.00 am to
2.00 p.m. on Thursday, 24 November, at the Assembly Rooms of Hackney
Town Hall.

Please accept our apologies for any confusion which may have been caused
by the notice yesterday cancelling the consultation event on Thursday,
24 November and scheduling a Joint Working Group meeting.

The Joint Working Group will now meet one week earlier on Thursday, 17
November and will discuss Equality and Diversity theme of the draft Compact.

By bringing forward the Joint Working Group meeting, officers will have
ample opportunity to provide comments on the Equality and Diversity
theme and enable the wider consultation to remain on track and a Hackney
Compact agreed in February 2006.
