Hello from a former Hag Faewlter(twice) and athertonian
I moved on to Hag Fold with my parents when Spring Gardens
along with a lot of terraced houses in Atherton town centre were
demolished in the name of slum clearance(huh some of the houses that
they knocked down were better built than the modern rubbish they throw
up today I know I am sorry to say I work in the Building industry and
i'd rather have the terraced house that I live in now)
But I digress, we moved to Car Bank St. about 1963-64 I
can't remember exactly when but I remember my teenage years on Hag
Fold with great nostalgia,but those stories will have to wait until I
have more time(up at 4 in the morning for work)
Great idea Phil I'll be visiting the site when I can
