thanks for that i will go and have a squizzie when i have finished this message
... that's taken me back abit in 62 i just finished my apprenticeship
i prefer the rebuilts very attractive engine in this gauge ... although the spam
cans look nice they just don't seem to have the character for me that is ...
naturally i am interested in both well my research covers both in the region of
300 images of both engines and the alterations and prefabrication from the
original engines design also the wheels are quite easy to fabricate just a
little work and a bit of thought

Charles
I have just posted a couple of photos ( Guildford 09) of a genuine LBSC 060
built for a neighbours son in 1962. In the background is a MN chassis belonging
to Des, which he started 20 years ago and got forgotten about, it effect it is a
stretch version of the Ayesha revival
project.
I understand there is some debate over building a rebuilt or original air
smoothed loco.
This forum would be the ideal place to have such discussions over the merits
of one design over another.

i am half way through a build at the moment 2.5 gauge merchant navy rebuilt
engine ... if any one is interested i could put some pictures in the groups
photos file ... its not an engine to be taken lightly especially the way that i
am approaching it
