Clive,<br><br>My view is 'it depends'. I have
build some frames using 16 gauge sheet metal which is
approx. .0635 (I seem to be in a good supply of the
stuff). If the plan calls for 1/16", its probably OK. I
have used 16 gauge where 3/32" was called for, but
every time I added more stretchers to the design. Also,
there are many of the stainless 16 gauge sheets that
are very near (if not more than) the strength of the
3/32" mild steel I get locally. <br><br>Deuce
