Hi there Alan,

Don't know what others think to this suggestion, but there are currently a
few 2.5" gauge locos out there for sale on ebay, both at 150 pounds at
the moment...

2 1/2" LIVE STEAM 4-4-0 LOCO 'EAGLE'. Part built. The tender appears
complete. Based on GNR design by Martin Evans. Some plans
available.Measurements approx 32 inches long x 5 inches wide x 9 inches
high.

...and...

2 1/2" LIVE STEAM KING ARTHUR CLASS 4-6-0 LOCO AND TENDER 'ELAINE'.Part

Alternatively...

...but the only maybe at the moment there is...

2.5" Gauge Atlantic, possibly by Basset Lowke. The engine is mostly
complete but missing cab, reach rod burner, water pump, oil pump valve
spindle, coupling rods, pressure gauge. An easy restoration job to produce
a nice loco. 495.00 pounds

...and I know someone who got a 80% complete 2.5" gauge 4-8-4 Helen Long
from...

Yours,

Rich.
