Not familiar with an LE Pacific, can you point me towards a picture of it
perhaps?

Is it intentened for passenger hauling or a 'scenic' railway?

My link to 2.5" gauge is currently an interest in LBSC's 2.5" gauge Helen
Long design. I haven't actually built anything in 2.5" gauge, but am in
the process of rebuilding a 3.5" gauge LBSC Maisie (ie 4-4-2 GNR atlantic
- see http://www.stationroadsteam.co.uk/LBSCimages/Maisie.htm for an
example).
